Frank came to serious painting late in life after a full career in the British Army and a second career in sales.
Born in Yorkshire England he now lives in Renfrew Ontario Canada with his Canadian wife Pat.
Frank is a member of the Renfrew Art Guild and joint organiser and registrar for Renfrew Art in the Park an annual Art show put on by the Guild in July each year.
After studying water colour with Malindy Argyle a local artist on the Isle of Wight in England, where he painted mainly landscapes and seascapes Frank moved to Canada and later started to paint acrylic on canvas which is now his main medium.
After meeting Patrick John Mills, an Ottawa artist Frank decided to try his hand at abstraction and found it
immensely liberating though difficult. He finds that he can explore feelings, thoughts, ideas in a way he could never do before, so much so that most of his work, although not all, is now abstract.
Having said that his subject matter still includes landscapes, figures and some flowers.
Frank is a competition winner and has paintings in private collections in UK, Germany, Malaya. Hong Kong and Canada.
